A maximum of 50 abstracts only can be accommodated

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARATION OF ABSTRACT
In order to be accepted abstracts of posters to be presented at the above meeting must meet certain criteria and format. Each correctly submitted abstract will be subject to peer review and evaluated by identical criteria with regard to its relevance to the title of the conference. Failure to follow instructions for preparation and submission of abstracts will result in rejection of an otherwise acceptable paper. Abstracts will be published in the program booklet and considered for publication in Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

1. Content of Abstracts
The information must include and clearly state:

a. the objective of the study
b. the study design and setting indicating relevance to the topic
c. the main outcome measures and results of the study
d. the conclusion

2. Abstract Form
Abstracts must be submitted using the attached form as a guide. The text must fit into a space of 5 1/2" X 6", leave no margin within this space and typed on plain paper.

* Use computer type (10 point) at 12 characters per inch

* Use computer laser printer or a fully-formed character printer

* Type single space

In addition to the paper, you must also submit the abstract in an electronic form. It is preferable that the submission be by e-mail (as an attached file to: CANNOND@questdiagnostics.com). The file cam also be sent on a diskette in WordPerfect, Word, or ACSII format.

3. Title/Author/Affiliation
The title should be brief and clearly indicate the nature of the work. State the presenter's name, professional credentials, and affiliation.

4. Submission Instructions
Abstracts must be received by Wednesday, May 31, 2000. Send abstracts and diskette to:
